Mandatory Fun Day

It's been a while since I've blogged because I was spending all the time possible with Cameron before he deployed for Afghanistan. Here are some picture of family day at the beach *mandatory fun day*.
A sailboat
Me & Cameron on the way to the beach!
This was what we call "mandatory fun day" but it ended up being a lot of fun! We did get to swim for like 30 mintues and were tossed around like rag dolls in the waves! It was a lot of fun and when the lifeguards wouldn't allow us to swim anymore we layed out on the beach for like 45 more minutes and then came home! :)

Afghanistan

I'm going to start off by saying that today is my "catch up on blogging day" as if everyone can't tell that! :)

Cameron leaves next week to go to Afghanistan and I've deeply upset by this. I've been a big emotional cry baby since he got word passed last night of the day and time that he will be leaving. Yes, I knew it was coming and I should have prepared myself better, but, I've been so busy trying to keep my mind OFF of the deployment that I've honestly pushed it away, until last night. UGH. Before we got married and I still lived at home it made it a lot easier with Cameron gone because I had all of my family and friends here. Granted, I have made some AMAZING friends in Hawaii to help me through everything and visa versa so I'm hoping it won't be tooooo difficult.

So, since Cameron is leaving next week the ENTIRE living room is full of gear, neatly organized I must say, on the floor as well as in the Dining Room. I haven't cleaned since he's been home (deep cleaned anyway) because I'm trying to spend as much time as possible with him and then his Sgt. had to come over today to check his gear with the gear list. EMBARRASING. Dude, I was trying to clean so fast before he brought someone over and it just wasn't happening. Whatever. I guess that's life? Now I understand when Momma didn't want people over because the house was "disgusting", even though I never thought it was. I can see in our house how horribly dirty it is even when everything is picked up and not a wreck.

Am I the only one in the entire world who is OCD about the cleanliness of their house?

Yes, I know, I have drifted from the point, the point was that Cameron is leaving next week and here is the address for people to write him if anyone is interested...I know that he LOVES to get mail! I will put a list up of items for care packages when he makes one for me! :)

Facebook...

So, I know that a lot of the people on here have Facebook and I'm going to apologize in advance if I upset anyone or hurt anyones feelings, BUT, seriously, why do people take all the quizzes? I will admit I have taken a FEW but on an every day basis taking multiple quizzes, is there nothing better to do? At-least stalk someone! :) When I sign on and see nothing but all the quiz information from someone else is quite frankly ticks me off. Gr. I think that one that pushed my last button was "Will you survive the Swine Flu?" Seriously? Wtf. If you are taking the quizzes PLEASE don't post EVERY SINGLE ONE of the summaries on your page so that I don't have to see it on mine! :D Thank you, come again! :) (Again, apologizes if I've offended anyone).

Virgin Home Builders

My Daddy has been talking for sometime about the driveway that he has cleared for me and Cameron on the land that is behind my Momma & Daddy's. Cameron and I were slightly excited to see it but it didn't really "hit home" until we got to see the land and the AmAzInG driveway when we went home in person! The driveway is perfect as well as the spot to build the house we are planning to build! We have already picked out a blueprint that will be the basis of our home & we will only need to make minor changes! I am SOO happy as well as Cameron is. Cameron has told everyone we've seen since we went to look at the land. He even brought his uncle and his Mom over to see the land. Since we've been back to Hawaii everyone that's been within hearing distance has heard about it as well. That makes me happy to know that he is soooo excited for it! :) I can't WAIT! Daddy is going to clear the spot that we've picked out of trees and then when Cameron gets home from Afghanistan (the beginning of next year) we're going to get the ball rolling on starting the building so that when we get out of the Marine Corps (Dec. 3, 2010) we will have our own house!!
I mean, technically, we have our own house now but it doesn't feel that way because it's not in a place of our chosing, it's exactly like all of our friends houses, and you can't make the base housing feel quite as homely as a home that is back in the woods on your parents land! <--That's the best part of the house! :) It's in the woods and right with the family. DON'T get me wrong though, I love the house we have on base- minus the no a/c- but it's just not the same.
Oh yeah, speaking of housing on base, I'm moving to a NEW HOUSE on base next Friday and it has A/C!! How EXCITING?! :) PLUS, it's only like 4 houses down from Melissa! YaY!
So if anyone has any ideas on decorating or ANYTHING on building a house...chip in! :) I'll give your a penny for your thoughts, that is if they're something I like! haha! :) J/K, seriously though, chip in!

Pre-Deployment Leave

Cameron and I got to go home April 23-29th to visit our family and friends. We had an amazing time! When we got home everyone was at Cameron's house waiting for us and we were happy to see everyone! Then Saturday night his Mom threw a BBQ for Cameron's deployment, Cameron's birthday & Melani's birthday. It was a lot of fun! :) We definitely miss home and can't wait to move back!
Me & Cameron

Me & My Momma!!

Me & My Brother
Me & My MawMaw

A HUGE thanks to everyone for the BBQ (especially Mom *Jeanne*). It was a wonderful time with absolutely wonderful people! I am so glad that we got to spend time with everyone!!

On Saturday morning I went to Albemarle with Amber, Momma, Elijah, Ava, Kayla, Colby, Judy & Jim. That was a wonderful time as well. We went to go see my MawMaw, Debbie, Dwight, Heather, Baby Ryan, Alex & Trixie. It was awesome to get to see everyone after 6 months of not seeing anyone from home! I have some more pictures from the trip but I get so frustrated putting pictures on here because they ALWAYS go to the top of the page. Grr!

Anyway, it was a wonderful trip home and very much worth the cost of flying from Hawaii to North Carolina! :)

Things I've learned so far...

Things that I have learned so far...
1: Everyone in Hawaii that is a caregiver of any sort is either Auntie or Uncle
2: If a word in Hawaii starts with the letter V, it is pronounced like a V. If the V is in the middle of a word it is pronounced like a W.
3: There are only 7 consanants used in the Hawaiian language.
4: Hawaiian's hate the military and whities
5: Ditty Mo is my favorite saying that I learned here...It means "ball out" pretty much! :)
6: Being married to Cameron is amazing! :)
7: Having a puppy is much harder than anyone could ever think...
8: The Marine Corps wants you to do everything for them in a timely manner while all they do is make you wait...
9: In order to make friends in a new place you have to open yourself up no matter how hard it is.
10: There are some people who tell you that they love you (friendship wise) but they never really meant it.
11: Who my true friends are; distance tells all my friends.
12: That having to pay bills really sucks and is very stressful.
13: I should have finished school when given the opportunity because now I can't afford it.
14: A new car is wonderful until you have to pay for it for 6 years. Uck.
15: Finding a job in a new place when you're involved with the military is very hard to do because they are tired of hiring people for short periods of time.
16: The Marine Corps messes up pay left and right and you're lucky if it has never happened to you.
17: The health insurance through the military could NOT be better! :)
18: How to stay in a home alone with no one there to keep me company.
19: How to be content with myself and how to be happy with myself.
20: That being away from all my family and friends is really hard but has taught me a lot in life. :)
I've been seeing this 25 "things" lately and have decided that I'm going to do it on here as well as on my facebook...25 Facts about me:
1: Every time I sing my eyes start to water...even if it's something as simple as the ABC's.
2: I'm addicted to Pepsi
3: I smoke and wish that I could talk myself into quitting
4: I have AmAzInG friends that I wouldn't trade for anything in this world
5: Cameron is not only my husband but my best friend, my soul mate, and I love him!!
6: I have an amazing sister who I love to death! :)
7: I am addicted to Twilight.
8: I drive a 2008 Honda Accord and I don't plan on ever buying another new vehicle...
9: I can't go more than 2 days without talking to my Mommy or my Daddy
10: I can't stand when people don't use emoticons while texting--I can't figure out their mood that way.

13: My family means the most to me...
14: I want to have 3 children one day--hopefully all boys.
15: When I drink I drink to get drunk not to just have a few drinks--hence the reason I don't drink often.
16: I am addicted to the Internet, Facebook especially.
17: If I could go back in time there are some things that I would definitely do differently but I've learned from everything in my past.
18: My favorite colors are Pink and Brown (for now)

24: I strive to be able to run 1 mile with out loosing my breath
25: My Mommy is my hero! :)

Work in Progress

So, here is the Afghan that I've been working on the past few days. It really doesn't look like I've done much but it's a little over 4 (or 5) feet wide....I don't have a CLUE how long it's going to take me to finish this thing....Everyone let me know what you think of it! :) Melissa holding it to show how wide it will be.

Weigh In #3...

I'm at 147.0 lbs. That puts me a few pounds below the last time I weighed in with everyone. I do know that the weight I have lost isn't from working out I think it's because I have been so nauseated I can't eat. BUT, I'm loosing weight. I'm hoping that I'll start feeling better soon so that I can get back to the gym and work some of my fatness off!! :)
Since I can't go to the gym right now I am just trying to do a few small things during the day while I'm cleaning or playing with Pablo so exercise, just small things though!!
Does anyone have any advice on some small things I can do to help me loose weight around the house rather than going to the gym for right now? All suggestions would be really appreciated!

CAX & Coming Home

I talked to Cameron today for the first time in a few days since he's been in the field training in CAX. He sounds really good and is SOO excited to be coming home in 3 days, as am I. I have an Easter basket for him and hope to have the house clean and all of the laundry done before he comes home so he is less stressed! :) He will be home on Sunday night and I am sooo looking forward to it!!
We are very excited to be coming home in a WEEK and 1 day to visit!!!! :D Can't wait to see everyone!

Pain.

Melissa and I went back to the E.R. (at Tripler) the other night because I was in horrible pain. It was to the point where I couldn't sit, stand, lay down or anything without feeling as if something were going to rupture in my side. So, we go, wait 5 hours to be called back, and then the doctors run some exams and tell me they think that I have a bleeding stomach ulcer.
I'm still waiting for the GI Dr to call so I can make an appointment to make sure that is what's wrong but it's nice to have an option to think about. The Dr. at the E.R. did prescribe me Prilosec to reduce the stomach acid and it's been helping with the pain. The nausea is still excruciating but the pain has been reduced, a LOT!! :) Thank God! Again, thanks for all of the prayers because I really believe in the power of prayer!

Easter

Me & Pablo on Easter
Spring & Melissa
Pablo
Easter was a lot of fun! :) I worked from 12:30-5:30p.m. and then as soon as I got off work came home and started the grill for dinner. Melissa and Spring came over and we had hamburgers and hot dogs (and it was the first time I didn't burn them) and some chips!

The night before Easter Melissa and I dyed Easter eggs. Now that was a ton of fun! :) My grandma told me that if we wrote on the egg with a crayon the wax would keep the dye from dying the egg...it worked out great for us! :) We definitly wanted to do more than our carton of eggs but finally reasoned that it would only be a waste of money!!!

BBQ

Just wanted to remind everyone that Cameron and I are going to be home, in NC, to visit April 24th-29th. We are having a BBQ at Cameron's house and would love for everyone and anyone to be there! We will be having some drinks and just hanging out with family and friends that have been missed dearly! :)
Also a quick update on my health situation. I'm feeling better but still in a lot of pain. I went to the doctor yesterday for a follow up and they have referred me to a G.I. specialist as well as a Urologist. Hopefully we'll figure something out soon! The Dr. is running some tests to see if there is anything else that the pain could be caused by so...who knows. Maybe all the other doctors appointments won't be necessary.
I want to thank Spring and Melissa again for being such great friends throughout everything! :) I know that with our husbands gone it is hard to be tough and stick by a friend who needs you with everything else going on and they've done that! :) Thanks girls!

Name.

So, I want to change the name of my blog. I have one in mind but I dont know how to see if anyone else has the name already. Does anyone know how to do this? If so, could you tell me how, or. if it would be easier I will tell you what I'm thinking of naming it.
Also, Ashley, where did you get your background from? I absolutely love it and want to be able to put a picture like that, etc! :) If you don't mind letting me know! I'm kind of new at all this design and stuff! lol!

Our Baby!

Pablo's first experience getting a hold of some toilet paper....

Looks like he had a huge amount of fun!! :)

My health...

I went to the doctor yesterday for a check up and they decided to send me to the Tripler E.R. just to have a CT scan and an ultrasound as well as some other tests. My friend Melissa went with me, THANK YOU SO MUCH :), and we were there for around 5 hours. Which, in reality, isn't too bad for the emergency room but it was a long stay regardless. I ended up getting an I.V. w/ Saline Solution while waiting but that was because they had to take some blood and it was easier to do that way. Everything the doctors did came back normal. I know that there is something wrong though so I'm not giving up! The E.R. doctor referred me to a Urologist who is supposed to call me on Monday to make an appointment so I am hoping things work out good with that!
I did go and talk to my work today and I STILL HAVE A JOB!!! :) YAYYYY! Thank God and everyone for their prayers!
I want to thank everyone again for all of their prayers for me. I am still not 100% better (pain wise) but I am starting to rule out things slowly but surely!

Weigh in #2...

So, I have not even come close to my first goal. I am at 150.2 as of today but I do have a wonderful excuse! :) I have been very sick and out of work for 2 weeks and not allowed to be up and moving, hence no working out. I haven't been eating much but I think that is making the weight loosing worse because I can tell my metabolism has slowed from when I was working out everyday. Soo....I'm going to try to loose all of the weight for April by my May goal! Hopefully I can do that!
