My Sweetheart...

called today! :) We got to talk for a good little while and he seems to be doing great! He is asking for Ramen Soup (Chicken Flavor), Shampoo/Body Wash (the mixed stuff), Dip (Copenhagen Long Cut) and for Amp Energy Drinks! He wanted me to tell everyone HELLO & that he loves everyone!!! :) I'm sorry that he can't call everyone (& so is he, believe me) but where he is he does not have a phone, computer or even shower. Therefore he only has access to these items when he goes to the main base, which is once a week, if that. Hopefully he will have time to call everyone once they get settles in a bit more! :D
I'm so happy that he is doing great, just hearing his voice makes my week better!
As for my week...I have been going to work interviews the past 2 days at a vet, Feather & Fur Veterinary Clinic, right out of the back gate. I go tomorrow (Friday) after work at the Marine Mart for my last working interview & I will hopefully find out whether or not I will be hired! If hired it will eventually be a full-time position!! YaY! Even in the beginning when it is not a full-time position, I will be working at the Marine Mart on the weekends to work off my 2 weeks notice. I haven't given that yet, I am waiting to see if the job is going to be offered to me! :)
I feel so lucky to be given this opportunity at the vet. Everyone is so nice and I absolutely love the environment. I also LOVE animals, as most of you know, so I think it's a perfect job for myself! I also LOVE doing computer work and getting things organized (receptionist) so I think it's a great fit for me! :) I feel so lucky to even be offered this job with the environment the way it is right now!!!

Alltel Blackberry Curve 8330 Smartphone

Okay, so I have been trying to sell my Alltel Blackberry Curve 8330 smartphone pretty much, FOREVER. If anyone knows ANYONE that is interested in this type of phone please let me know how much they are willing to pay for it and I will let them know if it is an acceptable amount. Keep in mind it comes with 2 batteries, 1 wall charger, usb cord, help set that came with the phone, the phone case and the phone *obviously*. I am ASKING $200 to cover the shipping costs but if that isn't possible I will negotiate. Just let me know please if you all know anyone who is interested! :) Thanks!

Working Interview

I went to an interview at Feather & Fur in Kailua *it's a vet clinic* this past Wednesday. I go this Wednesday & Thursday for working interviews to see if they like me and to see if I like the place! I am really excited. It pays around the same that I am getting now but MORE HOURS!! :D YaY!! It will eventually be a full time job *once the MM finds a replacement for me* and I will be rotating weekends. I really hope that it is something that I enjoy and will be good at!
Has anyone ever done a working interview? I have never done one and am not sure exactly what to expect. Do you get paid for such a thing? Any ideas?

Puppies

I love Pablo but man ole man I didn't know that puppies were like little babies! :) Pablo needs my attention 24/7 when I'm at home and he will NOT stop until he gets it! Grr..

He has learned how to take my hair-tie out of my hair when I'm trying to sleep, sitting on the couch, or anytime he can reach my hair. That is really funny, sometimes!

Pablo is starting to lose his baby teeth and it's starting to freak me out! He's lost 3 in the past week! AHH! The only reason I even noticed is because he tries to EAT them. He chews on them and it's a HORRIBLE noise so I have to PRY his mouth open to get the tooth out...it's so weird. I honestly had NO idea that puppies lost baby teeth because at home (in Waxhaw) our dogs were always outside dogs and we never saw them lose their teeth!

Anyway...before Cameron left we took Pablo to the beach for the first time. He was not a big fan and the next day he pooped sand castles...it was hilarious! :)

50th State Fair

Melissa & I went to Hawaii's 50th State Fair yesterday and it was a lot of fun! I didn't think that it would be fun at all but I ended up really enjoying myself! :) Here are some pictures...

Me "milking the cow"--disgusted

Melissa "milking the cow"

As you can see we got to "milk a cow" and it "squirted" out water. It was disgusting to me but Melissa loved it! :)

We also got to watch pig races which was a LOT of fun! It was hilarious!! The Chicago Knockers were there and they did some mud wresteling and that was really funny/fun too! Everyone is supposed to be on T.V. here in Hawaii because they were taping the wrestling for Channel 2 because the news caster wrestled with the women & they got their butts kicked!! :) It was hilarious!

Cam's Departure...

SoOoO...I'm quite a bit behind on blogging! I'm sorry for that. I have been CRAZY busy trying to get the house in order, trying to keep up with Pablo and hanging out with Mrs. Melissa! :)
Cameron left on May 12th to go to Afghanistan. It's been ALMOST 2 weeks and he will be gone for approximately 7 months. Here are a few pictures of when he was leaving...

(Cameron & his friend Tauge)

Just wanted everyone to see some pictures! :) I have lots more but not nearly enough space!
Cameron called today and he seems to be great! Today was the first day at the FOB (Forward Operating Base) so he hasn't had any letter writing materials so no one will be getting letters for a few weeks! He does have the materials now! He has not recieved any boxes yet but I told him some have been sent to him so he should be expecting them within the next few weeks!

Mokapu Lighthouse

Cameron and I went on a hike in Waimanalo to see the Mokapu lighthouse. It was a pretty good walk, no where near as bad as Diamond Head Crater, but it was a good walk. There was a lot of stuff to stop and look at on the hike to take a break and it was a lot of fun! Cameron and I had a great time and were very proud of ourselves for finally getting out of the house the last week and doing things in Hawaii since you know, we live here and all, yet we never take advantage of that fact. SO we have decided to do that from now on. I know it's a little late since he just left but we started before he left and plan to do a lot of things when he comes back! Here are a few pictures to share! :) We also so a seal playing in the water but in the picture you can't really tell what it is so I didn't put it up!

Mandatory Fun Day

It's been a while since I've blogged because I was spending all the time possible with Cameron before he deployed for Afghanistan. Here are some picture of family day at the beach *mandatory fun day*.
A sailboat
Me & Cameron on the way to the beach!
This was what we call "mandatory fun day" but it ended up being a lot of fun! We did get to swim for like 30 mintues and were tossed around like rag dolls in the waves! It was a lot of fun and when the lifeguards wouldn't allow us to swim anymore we layed out on the beach for like 45 more minutes and then came home! :)

Afghanistan

I'm going to start off by saying that today is my "catch up on blogging day" as if everyone can't tell that! :)

Cameron leaves next week to go to Afghanistan and I've deeply upset by this. I've been a big emotional cry baby since he got word passed last night of the day and time that he will be leaving. Yes, I knew it was coming and I should have prepared myself better, but, I've been so busy trying to keep my mind OFF of the deployment that I've honestly pushed it away, until last night. UGH. Before we got married and I still lived at home it made it a lot easier with Cameron gone because I had all of my family and friends here. Granted, I have made some AMAZING friends in Hawaii to help me through everything and visa versa so I'm hoping it won't be tooooo difficult.

So, since Cameron is leaving next week the ENTIRE living room is full of gear, neatly organized I must say, on the floor as well as in the Dining Room. I haven't cleaned since he's been home (deep cleaned anyway) because I'm trying to spend as much time as possible with him and then his Sgt. had to come over today to check his gear with the gear list. EMBARRASING. Dude, I was trying to clean so fast before he brought someone over and it just wasn't happening. Whatever. I guess that's life? Now I understand when Momma didn't want people over because the house was "disgusting", even though I never thought it was. I can see in our house how horribly dirty it is even when everything is picked up and not a wreck.

Am I the only one in the entire world who is OCD about the cleanliness of their house?

Yes, I know, I have drifted from the point, the point was that Cameron is leaving next week and here is the address for people to write him if anyone is interested...I know that he LOVES to get mail! I will put a list up of items for care packages when he makes one for me! :)

Facebook...

So, I know that a lot of the people on here have Facebook and I'm going to apologize in advance if I upset anyone or hurt anyones feelings, BUT, seriously, why do people take all the quizzes? I will admit I have taken a FEW but on an every day basis taking multiple quizzes, is there nothing better to do? At-least stalk someone! :) When I sign on and see nothing but all the quiz information from someone else is quite frankly ticks me off. Gr. I think that one that pushed my last button was "Will you survive the Swine Flu?" Seriously? Wtf. If you are taking the quizzes PLEASE don't post EVERY SINGLE ONE of the summaries on your page so that I don't have to see it on mine! :D Thank you, come again! :) (Again, apologizes if I've offended anyone).

Virgin Home Builders

My Daddy has been talking for sometime about the driveway that he has cleared for me and Cameron on the land that is behind my Momma & Daddy's. Cameron and I were slightly excited to see it but it didn't really "hit home" until we got to see the land and the AmAzInG driveway when we went home in person! The driveway is perfect as well as the spot to build the house we are planning to build! We have already picked out a blueprint that will be the basis of our home & we will only need to make minor changes! I am SOO happy as well as Cameron is. Cameron has told everyone we've seen since we went to look at the land. He even brought his uncle and his Mom over to see the land. Since we've been back to Hawaii everyone that's been within hearing distance has heard about it as well. That makes me happy to know that he is soooo excited for it! :) I can't WAIT! Daddy is going to clear the spot that we've picked out of trees and then when Cameron gets home from Afghanistan (the beginning of next year) we're going to get the ball rolling on starting the building so that when we get out of the Marine Corps (Dec. 3, 2010) we will have our own house!!
I mean, technically, we have our own house now but it doesn't feel that way because it's not in a place of our chosing, it's exactly like all of our friends houses, and you can't make the base housing feel quite as homely as a home that is back in the woods on your parents land! <--That's the best part of the house! :) It's in the woods and right with the family. DON'T get me wrong though, I love the house we have on base- minus the no a/c- but it's just not the same.
Oh yeah, speaking of housing on base, I'm moving to a NEW HOUSE on base next Friday and it has A/C!! How EXCITING?! :) PLUS, it's only like 4 houses down from Melissa! YaY!
So if anyone has any ideas on decorating or ANYTHING on building a house...chip in! :) I'll give your a penny for your thoughts, that is if they're something I like! haha! :) J/K, seriously though, chip in!

Pre-Deployment Leave

Cameron and I got to go home April 23-29th to visit our family and friends. We had an amazing time! When we got home everyone was at Cameron's house waiting for us and we were happy to see everyone! Then Saturday night his Mom threw a BBQ for Cameron's deployment, Cameron's birthday & Melani's birthday. It was a lot of fun! :) We definitely miss home and can't wait to move back!

Me & My Momma!!

Me & My Brother
Me & My MawMaw

A HUGE thanks to everyone for the BBQ (especially Mom *Jeanne*). It was a wonderful time with absolutely wonderful people! I am so glad that we got to spend time with everyone!!

On Saturday morning I went to Albemarle with Amber, Momma, Elijah, Ava, Kayla, Colby, Judy & Jim. That was a wonderful time as well. We went to go see my MawMaw, Debbie, Dwight, Heather, Baby Ryan, Alex & Trixie. It was awesome to get to see everyone after 6 months of not seeing anyone from home! I have some more pictures from the trip but I get so frustrated putting pictures on here because they ALWAYS go to the top of the page. Grr!

Anyway, it was a wonderful trip home and very much worth the cost of flying from Hawaii to North Carolina! :)
