Procedures....

So, when I went to the Doctor on May 26th for my stomach problems he advised me that I will need to have a Colonoscopy & an Endoscopy to determine what is causing the horrible heart burn and to make sure I don't have any tumors...SCARY. They are also going to check to make sure I have no polyps (sp) and they need to decide if I have Chron's Disease rather than IBS. AHH! I think that instead of telling you what they are looking for BEFORE the procedure that they should wait until they FIND something and tell you what it IS. Seriously though. I have a stomach ulcer, we are positive of that, but they want to make sure that is all that it is since the antacids are not making the problem go completely away. If it were just a stomach (or intestinal) ulcer the antacids should have already cleared up the problem. So on July 13th I'll be going in for the procedures and they will be done at the same time so that I do not have to be put under anesthesia more than once.
I'm scared to death. The only time I've ever been "put to sleep" is when I got my wisdom teeth out. I know it's the SAME thing but still! Come on! I'm just more worried that they are going to use the same camera for the Endoscopy & the Colonoscopy and that they may do the Colonoscopy first...haha. Uck. I'm really worried about that though! lol! I'm just stressing out I do believe...

I'm sure everything will go great. Anesthesia is scary to everyone, but I'm sure they are great doctors and it's good that they will do everything at one time!

Good luck with everything!

I had to have a colonoscopy last Dec. and no worries, they aren't that bad. Preparing for them (i.e. not eating) was worse for me then the actual procedure. You'll be asleep - and I PROMISE they won't use the same tube. haha
