The past week...

I went to the doctor on Friday of last week due to some sharp pain in my side and come to find out I had a severe kidney infection, UTI and a bladder infection. On top of that my period. Ugh. I am starting to get better, thanks to my wonderful friends Melissa, Spring & Alisha. :) I have more uckkkkky! :( Again, thanks to my wonderful friends here that have been helping to take care of me! If it weren't for them here I don't know what I would have done with Cameron being gone. I also want to thank EVERYONE for all of the prayers that I have recieved. They have definitely helped so much in my progress!

So, Cameron has been gone to CAX and is due to come back sometime within the 2nd week of April. I can't wait until he comes home! I feel as if it has already been a month.

As for my weigh in. I know that I am slacking but since I've been sick my weight has fluctuated soooo much and I haven't been able to work out so I have decided to put that off until I am able to go back to the gym and start working on my fitness again! I have definitely started drinking MUCH more water and I have decided once this infection goes away I'm going to limit myself to one soda a day. NO MATTER WHAT. I've decided that will definitely help with loosing weight and it will make me a much healthier person.

I am in the process of trying to quit smoking. It has taken me a while to tell anyone this because I don't want the pressure of disappointing anyone. I am still smoking but I'm cutting back as much as possible and trying to slowly quit!

Cameron and I are coming home in less than a MONTH!!! :) We'll be home April 24th and leave on April 29th to return to Hawaii.

I just wanted to give a brief update on life the past few weeks but I am going to run! :) I am watching the movie Twilight, again, because it is definitely the best movie ever created!!! =)

My life since February...

Things have been going great! =) We got rid of our "bug" problem in our house up until this week. I am going to bug bomb the house again next week to hopefully get us through until we move into our new house in June. Wouldn't that be great? If it does not work I will continue to bomb the house on a monthly basis if need be. All of the ants and roaches are coming to our housing because of all the construction and because all the houses they used to live in are no longer there. Uck.

I am still working on getting Pablo house trained. He seems to be doing much better except in his crate. I have made the crate so small that he only has room to lie down but he still pee pee's in it. He has stopped pooping in the crate, KNOCK ON WOOD, but he apparently doesn't mind sitting in his own pee until I get home to change the towel out. I have tried not using a towel but then he shivers he is so cold. :\ What to do what to do! :)

Cameron is in CAX, 29 Palms California, until around the 1st or 2nd week in April. I am going CRAZY!!! :) He just left this past Saturday and it already feels as if it has been a week and a half! lol! I guess this is just getting me prepared for when he leaves for Afghanistan. I will be able to handle it though because I am learning to become independent while he is away!

I no longer work for Tumble Bus, it was just not for me! I have been hired on base working approximately 40 hours a week and getting paid more than tumble bus. I will be working at the Marine Mart (The 7 day store) as a "deli worker." I am still not sure what the job entales but I am very interested to find out! I have been going to orientation classes all week and have been bored to death! lol! I had to get a TB test for the job which I go get checked tomorrow. I hope that it comes out good because it looks awfully red and swollen to me. :\ I've had this happen before though where it comes back that I have it and then have to get other tests to show that I do not! The best thing is to think positively! :)

I have also decided, just FYI, I'm going to start blogging more! I have been slacking, very badly, and need to catch everyone up on my daily life! :)

Weighing In #1

So, I have really enjoyed reading Ashley's blogs about loosing weight and since I am trying to loose weight as well, I figured this would be the best way! =)

I have been going to the gym, every day so far, with Spring & Melissa since the guys left on Saturday of this past weekend. I didn't weigh myself before starting but I did weigh myself today and I weighed in at 152.6. My overall goal is to weigh 120lbs. as I did before I started gaining all the weight that I have the past few months (years). I believe that is a healthy weight and I felt much more in shape at that weight.

I have stopped eating fast food and I have quit buying junk food for the house. I have already fallen back on this category this week by buying a No Bake cheesecake, which is my absolute favorite. I have decided once it is gone that will be all though! :)

I am going to put below my goals & rewards for achieving those goals!

By April 1st I would like to be at 142.6 (lose 10 lbs.) This gives me a little less than a month to achieve this goal. This will be before Cameron returns from CAX and I would like to impress him by loosing some weight. Once this goal is reached I will buy a new outfit to wear when Cameron comes home!

By April 15th I would like to lose an additional 2.6 lbs. putting me at 140.0 lbs. - This will be before going home to visit my family and friends that I haven't seen since October. Once this goal is reached I am going to get a weeks worth of tanning in Kaneohe (money allowing since it is $70 for a month to tan...therefore the weekly price will very likely be high).

This leaves me with 20 lbs. to lose. I am giving myself until Cameron returns from Afghanistan to lose the rest of the 20 lbs. so it will be more spread out than the first 15 pounds. I am going to allow for a little weight gain while at home for the week because I will not have access to a gym and will probably be drinking a few beers with the friends! =) The last few days before Cameron leaves for Afghanistan I am going to allow to spend as much time as possible with him so I will just be working on eating healthy and going to the gym as time allows. After he leaves I am POSITIVE me and my girls will get back into our routine! =)

By May 31st I would like to see another 5 lbs. fall off. This will put me at 135.0 lbs. which is what I used to weigh before I gained a lot of weight. Once this amount of weight has magically fallen off of my body I am going to buy myself a new bathing suit for the summer months in Hawaii! :)

By June 30th I am going to loose another 5 lbs. putting me at 130.0 lbs. Once I have achieved this goal I will buy yet another new outfit to make myself feel great for loosing the weight! =)

By July 30th I will loose another 5 lbs. This will put me at 125.0 lbs. Once I achieve this goal I will know that I am only 5 lbs. away from my overall weight goal! I will not get myself anything for this achievement because I am going to save that money to use for my overall weight goal achievement!!!

By August 30th I will loose my last 5 lbs. and will be weighing in at 120.0 lbs. :) For this I will buy 2 new outfits, one for myself to wear out in public and one lingerie outfit for when Cameron comes home! :)

I intend to do all of this by working out on a regular basis and by eating much more healthy foods! :) I have never made a weight loss goal before so I am not too sure if I am asking to lose too much weight too fast? If anyone thinks so please let me know so that I can adjust my plans!! :) I would LOVE to get moral support so if anyone has any that would be great!!! :)

Catching Up...

So, I just realized it's been quite a while since I've blogged for everyone! :) I have been sooooo busy!

To start while Cameron was at PTA on the "Big Island" I got my car here and had to take a taxi to get to the Sand Island Access to pick it up. The cab driver played poker on his laptop computer the entire time he was driving there, scary! :) It was my first cab ride alone and it was definitely scary! haha! BUT I FINALLY got my car here! YEYYYY!!!

That same week we got offered a house on base. We moved in the first weekend of February and we love it! It is a 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom house. One bathroom has a bath/shower and the other has a stand-up shower. It's a nice place. The living room is HUGE and we have a dining room and a normal size kitchen! It also came with a normal size washer and dryer! YEY! That means I don't have to wash clothes as often because we can put more than one load in at a time! Thank goodness!!

The week we moved into our new house we got all of our household goods! Which means that we finally have a BED to sleep in rather than sleeping on the air mattress. That was a miracle in itself! :) We have everything set up and it looks great! I can't wait to finally get some pictures on the walls and have it looking like a home! The only crummy thing is that we will be moving out of this house in June due to demolition. Base housing will then move us into a new house on base. THEY will come in and pack up everything and take it to the new house and unpack it there. Cameron won't be here when they do all of this so he will be coming home to a brand new home. It's kind of stressful but not so bad because TMO will take care of moving everything. Thank God.

We got a PUPPY!!! :) It's a Pomeranian/Terrier. He was born November 28, 2008 and he is the sweetest thing. He only weighs 3 lbs. and the people that we got him from told us that he would get to be 15-20 lbs. but after doing some research we've learned we have a toy dog! :) He is the sweetest thing and he is completely spoiled already. He sleeps in the bed with us, on my pillow, and snores! haha! I thought just Cameron snoring was bad...you add the two of them together and it's even worse! Below is a picture of Pablo--

He loves to chew on his toy and he loves to sleep! He is a great fit for me when Cameron is gone to Afghanistan! I am surprised but Cameron absolutely loves him!!! I didn't think he would because he is so small but he is now attached! Pablo is our child for now-at-least until we move back home and are near our families! :)

I am now working part-time for the Hawaii Tumble Bus. It's a fun experience working with children everyday and I like it a lot. I am still looking for either another part-time job or a full-time job to make ends meet financially but I'm enjoying the tumble bus and my days off work for now! :)

We miss everyone terribly!! We LOVE hearing from everyone so phone calls and e-mails are GREAT!!! :D

So....

Cameron is on the Big Island for the next 2 weeks for PTA training and I've been staying with my good friend Melissa until her husband and Cameron get back. We're having fun but really miss our husbands!

My car is due to be here by 01/20 and I'm really looking forward to it getting here. I found out today though that I have to get it registered in Hawaii which really stinks because it's $168 to register the car here...uck. Oh-well! I'm hoping that I get to keep the tags once I move back home!!! :] A Hawaii license plate for my Daddy to have!!! :P

Our household goods are due to be here by 01/30 and I'm also looking forward to that. I got everything in working order around here. I got on the "correct" list for housing yesterday. I didn't realize that I was on the incorrect one until I called to see why everything was taking so long. It's fixed though and hopefully we'll get a house on base soon!!

I went for a job interview last week at a Catholic school as a secretary and I'm waiting to hear back about that. It was a nice school and really nice people just a bit of a drive...it's a full time job though and with the economy the way it is right now I don't really have many choices. I also went for a job interview on Monday at the Hawaii Tumble Bus. The tumble bus goes around to preschools and lets the kids get on the bus for like 30 or so minutes and the "aunties" teach them how to do flips and stuff! It was really fun! It is only part time but pays really good so I hope that I get it. It's 2-3 days a week and would be a good help with the income until I can find a full-time position on the island.

I hope that everyone at home is going great!! :] I think that I'm going to go be coming home in SEPTEMBER or OCTOBER!!! :] YEYYY!!!! Can't wait to see everyone! We love and miss you guys like crazy!!!

Waikiki Aquarium/Diamond Head Crater

These are some pictures from Diamond Head Crater in Waikiki. We went there the other day and had a great time! :) It is a lot of work getting up the mountain but it was a wonderful view and worth the effort!!! The picture of Cameron and I is about half way up or half way down whichever way you want to look at it! :) It's where a wench is that they used to pull materials halfway up that they needed instead of carrying them all the way up the mountain! The gentleman taking our picture asked us to do the "hang loose" hand gesture! I was very confused at first what we were doing with our hands until the picture had been taken so I couldn't actually "get into it." :)

The 2nd picture is a lighthouse that you could see from the top of the crater. I have zoomed in on the lighthouse quite a bit I believe because on other pictures it is much smaller!

Cameron and I went to the Waikiki Aquarium the day after Christmas. It was really a neat place. It didn't have quite as many marine life animals that we both thought it would have. Most of the animals were just fish & jellyfish in small aquariums. It was still very pretty and I got a few good pictures there. The first picture is just a picture of coral and things that live on the coral. The second picture is a picture of the biggest clam! :) Weeeird looking!! :) I have more pictures and I'm trying to find a website or somewhere on this website to post albums of pictures so everyone can see them...I just haven't found the right website yet! If anyone has myspace and wants to add me on there that's where most of my pictures are! If you don't have myspace...I'm working on a solution to that problem! :)

Christmas 2008

So, I realize that this picture is kinda horrible of me but it is the only picture of the two of us on Christmas!! :) Christmas was great!! I got up and tried to make putchkees (something my Grandma has always made for me on Christmas morning) and they turned out horrible. We had a "pest" experience as well. All is now taken care of and we survived off of eating some strawberry muffins for breakfast. I was up quite early and finally got Cameron out of the bed around 8:30 in the morning! I'm just like a little kid on Christmas morning! :D

Cameron and I got together a new surround sound for the t.v. so that we can actually hear it. The new t.v. has horrible volume levels and you can't hear it at all unless it's turned all the way up and then if the washer is going, bouncing all over, you still can't hear it! So we got the surround sound which is awesome!

Cameron got a new camera to take with him on his deployments because his other camera that he got for Christmas last year won't zoom in far enough. He also got a new watch as well as some boxers. He also got a wonderful Marshmellow Gun (thanks Jenn) :) He absolutely loves it. The apartment complex stairs were filled with marshmellows the first day!

I got a new I-Pod Nano in orange from Cameron! I LOVE it!! My pink Nano was stolen on the airplane on the move here so I have been lost without it! I also got a digital picture frame that plays music while it plays the slideshow of pictures and it has a clock. It's very nice and I am going to put it up in the apartment sometime once I figure out how to use it!

The Christmas cards are all still on the fridge...falling off everytime the fridge is opened because the magnets are horrible! :) lol! Thanks to Sherry for the new magnets by the way they're much better than the ones that we have!

Michelle's 22nd Birthday

For my birthday we went to Kevin & Melissa's on Saturday night and had a fun night just hanging out with friends and playing circle of death. We didn't like it so much the next day but it was fun while it lasted. My dad called me that night to tell me happy birthday and made my day! :) Cameron and I went on Black Friday to get me a new camera as my birthday present so I was thrilled with that since mine was stolen along with my purse the first week that I was here. Uck. The new camera is amazing though! I love it! Cameron took me snorkeling at Lanakai beach on Sunday (my birthday). The water was FREEZING and I apparently can't breathe through my mouth so that didn't last for very long. Hopefully once it is "summer" here the water will warm up! After that Cameron took me out to eat at Outback near Pearl City. It was a wonderful meal and some great quality time spent together!!!

Thanksgiving 2008

For Thanksgiving Cameron and I went to Kevin & Melissas, some friends of ours here. Along with us were quite a few other Marines that don't have any family here to celebrate the holidays with! Kevin cooked a wonderful turkey, homemade mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole & sweet potato casserole. I got lucky and only had to make apple crisp & chocolate chip cookies! Everything was great! :)

The night before Thanksgiving while I was cooking the desserts Cameron and I put up our first Christmas tree!!! :) I did have to prep for putting the tree up by taking down our dining room table and putting it in "Camerons" room. The tree is lovely and I can't WAIT for presents to be under it!!! :D

We both missed our family and friends from home like crazy, especially with it being a holiday! We love and miss everyone but are loving being together every second of the day!

On October 31, 2008 I moved to live with Cameron in Hawaii where he is currently stationed with the Marine Corps. We got an apartment off base and are waiting for on-base housing at this time.

I am currently unemployed but looking for employment just about anywhere that isn't seasonal or part time. I am going crazy sitting at home doing house work all day!! :)
